Touring the Washington DC Civil Rights Row


The Civil Rights Row is a one-and-a-half mile walk along the Potomac River.  The tour begins with Thomas Jefferson Memorial. Halfway through the stroll, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Site welcomes the tourists.  At the other end of the row is the Lincoln Memorial.

These three great men, Jefferson, King, and Lincolnare connected accross two centuries.  Each man is an icon and a civil rights hero of his era.  These memorial sites create noteworthy mementos that deepen the understanding of how these heroes have changed the national conscience throughout American history.
